SHITFUCKMOTHERFUCKSHIT.

Unplugging my computer last night during a thunderstorm? Turned out to not be such a bright idea. My laptop's power cord has decided, upon having gotten a break, that it doen't feel like working anymore. Checking the Dell website, this is a common problem for my model of laptop. Dell was also kind enough to rape me $55 for a new one to arrive next business day, which means either Saturday if I'm lucky or Monday if I'm not.

The worst part? I was going to do actual, for-real, from-my-job WORK work on my laptop this weekend. FUCK.

DAVID, IF YOU DO NOT FIND MY GODDAMN OFFICE XP DISKS THAT YOU LOST SO DAMIAN AND I CAN WORK ON TIFF'S COMPUTER IF WE HAVE TO, I AM GOING TO MAKE YOUR LIFE HELL. STARTING BY REMOVING THE POWER CORD TO YOUR COMPUTER. Thank you dear.

It's pretty common for Dell's to break, that's why their so cheap! Once you have a more stable income, you might want to invest in a hewlet packard or compaq computer. They tend to be more reliable.

That's all I can really say to help... Also, my sympathy to you!

My last laptop was a Compaq. Two hard drive failures before a processor meltdown did it in. TWO. BOTH WHILE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARANTEE. And it weighed a ton. At least what dies on my Dell is the easily-replaceable peripherals instead of its actual guts. Besides, I've had it turned on pretty much constantly since August of last year. I restart about once a month and turn it off only when required by external circumstances. Come to think of it, it's a miracle the power cord didn't die sooner. >>;

Thinking of the last place I saw those Office disks (namely, David's computer), I might have to ask you to since they're likely going to be damaged even if he DOES find them. *headdesk* It also depends on whether my power cord makes it to my place in time, since I have Access on my computer and that's what we need. Murphy's Law says no chance in hell of either finding the disks or the cord making it before Monday, soooo...arg. What kind of plans did you guys have for this weekend? *wibbly eyes of ULTIMATE SORROW*

Oh my God, what did you do to that poor Compaq? I've had mine for five years, and it was a FLOOR MODEL. Did you set it on fire a couple of times before that processor melted?

Though I will admit, it IS pretty heavy. XP

Our plans for this weekend involve laundry, lame movies, and laying around being slobs mainlining either anime or Metalocalypse (yes, again). Basically, we have no concrete plans for this weekend so, if you need the disk, we are certainly available to bring it to you.
