Association meme answers for genuinelie!


1. Industrial music

I have odd tastes in music, tastes which I fortunately sort of share with dearest genuinelie and unfortunately inflict on the rest of my friends. After spending a few years muddling along with trance and techno music and getting bored, I was introduced to industrial music by a guy I used to be in a country in Darkon with and have never looked back. My favorite band OF ALL TIMES! is VNV Nation. If anyone's got mp3s of the Genesis 0 vinyl, they can have my soul.

2. RPing (tabletop)

Man! I remind everyone of this, given that without it I'd have no social life at all. XD Since I already covered the "this is why I spend a good 18-24 hours a week pretending to be other people" territory in the last post, I'm going to list the invaluable things tabletop gaming has taught me instead.

a. The Justice Punch of Brotherly Love fixes everything.

b. Books will show you things. Wonderful, terrible things.

c. It's not a real game until the Belt of Gender Change shows up.

d. Elder vampires < PCs <<<<< humans with sticks.

e. What magic cannot fix, Science sure as hell can! The reverse is also true.

f. There is no enemy that cannot be turned to the side of right with a well-placed natural 20.

Corollary to f: "He needed killin'" is a perfectly legitimate explanation for not bothering with the roll in the first place.

3. Black tee shirts full of wit XD

I have a black t-shirt collection. No, seriously. I don't wear shirts in any other color on a regular basis. I also like my t-shirts to be amusing, so a good 80% of them say stuff. Yes, I'm 25 and still dress like I did in high school. Shut up, jeans and black t-shirts are awesome.

4. Yaoi (!)

I think the slash goggles are pretty much permanent by now. I put them on for the first time back in high school for some sweet Kirk/Spock action and haven't really taken them off since. I enjoy het and yuri stuff, but yaoi fangirls are cracktastic and give us wonderful things like capslock_op.

5. Science labs

See: places where I wish I worked.

Seriously, I miss lab work and making the science happen with my hands. When I was a little kid I thought scientists spent all their time in the lab with awesome white coats and goggles on. Now I know it's just the lucky ones.

In other news, nothing sucks more than biting into your lunch, getting your teeth stuck, and discovering after you pry them loose that your PowerBar of Laziness +1 expired in 2006.

The Belt of Gender Change has gotten SO MUCH ABUSE in our games. It's been used as part of an attack, as humorous backstory, and as a clever disguise. I'm sure it'll show up again in the future.

As far as the PowerBar goes, I've got no idea. I bought the damn thing Sunday night and the other stuff I bought from the same store was fine. DX

The Belt sounds like something that will never go away and also as something that everybody either goes "Nooo!" or laughs whenever it's played.
