Fighting with inanimate objects.
Jun. 29th, 2007 02:51 pmI think I'm going to start taking the stairs up to my office in the morning.
This sounds like a minor change, but I work on the seventh floor of my building. Said building was constructed in 1925. It's a weird combination of Art Deco meets Green Building--Art Eco, I guess?--and the whole thing is made of poured reinforced concrete. I swear, if you crashed a plane into this behemoth, it would bounce off.
The emergency staircases are very obviously afterthoughts installed much later on. They're very steep stairs (we've got vaulted ceilings on some of the floors) and I, fat and lazy as I am, usually have to stop and catch my breath around the fourth floor before heading on up to the seventh. Stairs of fail and pain, you mock my out-of-shapeness. How far I have fallen from the person who used to walk five miles a day!
Sounds like a CHALLENGE. *_*MY NAME IS RORONOA ZORO, AND I WILL DEFEAT YOU!
ETA, 4:46pm: Ace/Nojiko: Weirdly hot y/y? OMGtheirloveissoTATTOOED.
