Moving my P.o.P. figures and suchlike did not go as planned. I could only find one box, and there was something nagging me strongly about it. I hated this type of box in our other move for a reason...

I remembered what that reason was when the bottom fell out of the box as I was carrying out of our apartment. P.o.P. carnage all over the hallway to our apartment building. Fortunately, most of my P.o.P.s are PVC and therefore bounce.

My Zoro, however, was a gift from a dear friend and a special resin version. Resin does not bounce. His left arm snapped off.

I nearly had a breakdown in the hallway, but it looked like a clean break and I was pretty sure I could fix it. Besides, if I couldn't fix it, I could say that he's post-Kitetsu-curse!Zoro. It was going to be all right.

And then, because I didn't have anything else to carry them in, I put them back in the box. This time I held the box with both arms under the bottom. Ha! That would show it!

Show it it did. Right up until I got outside and it went "Oooh! Pavement!" and somehow, despite both my arms being underneath it, collapsed again. It is worth noting that I had an audience for my frantic scramble to get the various and sundry bits of my toys into a shopping bag for transport--an audience that was extremely upset that I was there, as their dealer refused to come outside until after I had left. It is also worth noting that it promptly started raining as soon as the shit hit the ground. I knew this place wouldn't let me leave without making my life hellish one last time.

Anyway. The biggest outcome of this was a boss battle: Zoro versus concrete. Winner...

Worse than after Mihawk. Guess Zoro's got somebody new to train up against.

Alas, poor Zoro. I knew him, Horatio!

Smoker's unimpressed. "Pull yourself together, pirate scum!" Smoker and Sanji both held on to their smokes through both impacts with the ground, by the way.

Or maybe he's just trying to distract himself from Tashigi. Our clumsy girl was the only other figure to take damage in the falls--she lost her glasses and Shigure snapped off at the hilt and tsuba. I might be able to fix him, though.

Finally, everyone admire our nice new hardwood floors. They make such a lovely background for carnage.

Internet access goes bye-bye after early tomorrow morning. I'll be back online again hopefully by Sunday.
