I have a skexxxy nose, apparently. Funny, I always thought it was closer to a button nose. I'm a damn fine kisser too. I'm apparently just full of wonderful luv-luv talent.

Presentation (mostly) done. I'm glad I don't have classes tomorrow, or I'd be very unhappy right now. I still have to e-mail the mo-fo off to my partner, then I have to call her tomorrow and tell her that I e-mailed it. I have a headache like a sonnuva bitch, and my back hurts from typing. I wish the Tylenol would kick in. I still have to write the paper to go with this mess too...I'm going to die tomorrow. Oh well. Chibi has Go-Gaia to play on for the rest of tonight, so play she shall.

It's six pm and I've only been awake for an hour. I need to seriously consider having my internal clock reset, because I'm turning into a friggin' vampire. I went to bed at dawn, got up at sunset. This always happens to me, anytime I'm allowed to set my own sleep schedule....and when I'm not, I'm a drooling moron in the morning, because my brain is informing me "You sleep now. Think later." And it's not just that I'm lazy and sleep a lot--I can sleep the exact same amount of time, but whether or not I wake up rested is entirely based on whether I was sleeping from midnight to eight am or from eight am to four pm.

My circadian cycle is eight hours behind everyone else's. In waaaaay-ancient times, I probably would have been an excellent night watchperson for my small herd of humans (my night-vision ain't half bad, either), but nowadays in the world of deadbolts and security systems, there's no particular advantage to it. There is, on the other hand, a serious disadvantage for me in a world of nine-to-five jobs and morning classes. And what am I encouraged to do? "Live with it." "Take Ambien."

Down with a societal sleep-norm perpetuated my the ideal "morning person." I should be able to get the same education at night as during the day. I should be able to go to the store and find it open. I should be able to get a good job where I will not be screamed at for being slow and sleepy in the morning, for I will not be working in the morning. I should be able to go out to eat when I want dinner and not find all the restaurants closed. I should not be looked at as strange just because I sleep at a different time than eveyone else. But I know this won't happen, unless I take over the world.

I shall make a society of night-people, and we shall rule over the day-people. There will be a proliferation of twenty-four-hour establishments, and all will be right, good, and wonderful.

In my noon-time dreams, anyway.
