You know, one of these days I'm going to get all the way to "Document100" on MS Word before I have to restart my laptop for somethingorother.

Right now, I'm up to Document59 (new file for this week's drabble challenge). Document7, Document8, Document23, Document42, Document46, and Document52 are unfinished fics. I'll get back to them someday.

In other news, popular music still sucks. Electronica sections in 95% of record stores suck, provided they exist in the first place. What does a bitch have to do to find a well-managed, well-organized, well-stocked electronica section that's not mostly questionable dance mixes and shitty house music? Damn you, Sound Garden, why do you have to be all the way over in Fell's Point?

In other other news, [livejournal.com profile] plotbunny_tiff and I are too nice for our own good. *waits for the cries of, "That's not news!"*

In apartment-hunting news, it looks like we may have found a winner. All three of us are going down tomorrow afternoon to retour the place. I'm going to be cautious in my rejoicing until after that.

...Yeah. That's definitely not news. Can I get elaboration on it anyway?

In other news, cuteness: yawning in sync with your cat. Well, with my cat. Kitty demands attention. -,-

Sadly, if you want a good electronica selection, you'll probably need to investigate independent record stores in your area to find out who carries the obscure/unknown stuff in stock. For what it's worth, though, in terms of large chains, I've had some limited success in finding industrial music at Hot Topic (mostly Metropolic/Projekt/Dancing Ferret), Tower Records, and the occasional CD Warehouse. Most record stores, though, you're lucky if they even stock the latest Metropolis releases.

I don't know of any independent records stores near you in particular, but should you ever wake up and find yourself in Philly, stop by Digital Ferret. It's run by the guy who runs the Dancing Ferret label and is an old friend of my husband. They've got a really good stock of domestic and import titles, and their used section is awesome. ^_^

Sound Garden has a decent electronica section, and the massive FYE down in Arundel Mills has one that actually sorts the dance mixes out from the rest of the stuff. Unfortunately, that's about it locally. Record and Tape Traders, why hast thou forsaken me? Peanut can get his most obscure death metal from y'all, so where the fuck is my goddamn music? T_T

I wouldn't be bitching, but I've spent a lot of time in record stores for one thing or another as of late and it sucks being there and not seeing a damn thing you like. *rawr* Admittedly, I can order all this stuff online, but there's something about actually buying the CD in a store and listening to it on the way home.

Wow, that's alot of documents. How do you possibly remember what each document number has? Yep, music now is pooey and alot of techno are just remixes (what happened to people having something called "orginality"?) Awww, I don't think you're too nice for your own good. Yay for the hunt has ended ^.^ Now all three of you get infront of your apartment and take a prize shot for keepsakes before you stuff the poor apartment with all y'alls junk (so sorry for letting my texan come out. I couldn't think of a way to say that sentence using proper english *slaps self*)

The Document number is what MS Word automatically assigns a newly opened file. I don't tend to properly save fics until I'm done with them, so I only know the numbers for my unfinished fics.

We found an apartment complex. We don't have a specific unit yet, but we know the general area where we'll be living. Considering there are something like 200+ apartment complexes in the broad region where we were looking and 30-someodd in the immediate area, narrowing it down to one or two was impressive.
