Fingers first. Thick and strong, rough and callused, tasting like sweat and leather and salt. He lingers over these, coaxing sensation from them until the other’s breath comes fast and ragged.
The palm next, broad and well-used, tough yet unexpectedly ticklish, making those fingers curl against his cheek.
Onwards to the wrist. The skin there is curiously thin and fragile-feeling, but the pulse under his lips is powerful and quick.
Down the muscled forearm, littered with scars from more fights than he cares to think of, more fights than any sane person sees in a lifetime. He runs his tongue over the paler marks on the tan skin, each a tiny echo of the massive scar that bisects the swordsman’s chest and destiny, and feels the other shiver.
Up the hard bicep, feeling it tense under his curious mouth. Onto the wide shoulder, nipping the tight skin over the collarbone, licking the larger pulse under the jaw, the other’s taste getting stronger all the time. Then there is the jaw itself, prickly with stubble, pulling at the lips and tongue. He dawdles over this part, making the body under his shift and squirm with anticipation and need.
Finally, when he judges the other man has marinated in his own desire long enough, when the moment has been spiced with just the right amount of teasing and tasting, he goes for the lips. The swordsman desperately responds, long slow buildup destroying any inhibitions he may have had. Soon, too soon, he pulls away, ignoring the growl of frustration his withdrawal brings.
