I did a bad, bad, stupid thing.

While my friends were mocking me about my longer hair and its stunning resemblance (despite my attempts to tame it) to the hairstyle of a certain justice-loving white mage from a certain well-known fantasy anime, I snapped out that if one of my friends would make the costume, I'd wear it to Otakon.

tarvosio said "Done!" As he is the man with the mad needle skills, I sealed my fate.

Goddammit. If he actually finds enough time between his other cosplay projects and goes through with it, it appears I'll be cosplaying as Amelia to Otakon. AND I don't get to cut my hair short until afterwards.

Fucking eartufts. They are the cause of everything evil in my life.

And Chopper's pulling a King Kong. My poor fuzzball. Shit, I hope he doesn't hurt anyone else, or he'll never forgive himself.

Chopzilla gives me nightmares. I think it's the blank eyes and the really weird mutant deer shape of his. I also hope he doesn't hurt anyone else, but it would be wicked cool to see him rampage through the island. XD

Arg, but I don't want to have to do the justice pose, and I really don't want to have to keep my hair at this length. I'm kind of hoping he doesn't get a chance to get to the costume. I'd rather cosplay as Chopper all three days.

I imagine it'd be pretty hard to get those gigantic sphere things to fasten to the outfit, so you might still have a chance.

Otakon 2002 was actually my first con. This is my first year going to multiple cons, and I find that the small cons are more fun, but Otakon is an experience all by itself.

I actually watched the entirety of Slayers (Slayers, Slayers Next, and Slayers Try) over the course of two days. By the end of it, I actually could recite chunks of Amelia's dialogue from memory. Unfortunately, that was a couple of years ago, so I'm ripe to be tripped up by a Slayers geek. ^.^;

...well, I'm not terribly sure you need to worry TOO much just yet, as I still have David's Yuri costume, my Sanji-Apron, an Ishida doublet (though part of me says that if I just wait two more weeks there'll be an all new exciting quincy costume for Ishida) and a crack-bunny and a crack-bunnielet on the menu before hand....so, don't start panicking until I grab your measurements....*smirks* 'course, on the plus side, if I can manage the necklace for Yuri, the pom-poms for Amelia will be a piece of cake ;p
