We're (finally) getting a cat.

Her name is Vivi.

She's Siamese.

She's a rescue kitty from Arizona, because my sister can't stand to see abused cats who don't go on to good homes.

She's apparently terrified of everything, though she's relatively docile if you actually catch her. She'll just stare at you pathetically.

In related news, I get to see my sister for the first time in a year in mid-May--she's coming up here for a vacation. Yay! *dance*

...Vivi. for some reason, I saw a blue-furred cat. >>; She doesn't happen to have blue eyes, does she? Most Siamese do. (Siamese are gorgeous, I'm so envious of you. T^T )

Neurotic little scaredy-cat. Hopefully all she needs is some TLC and some time. =^..^=

Yay indeed for sister visits! I normally go and visit my family in December, but couldn't this year, so I'm very happy my sister's coming up here.

That would be my guess. My cat Abigail -- also part Siamese -- was terrified when we first brought her home. She'd hide under any piece of furniture she could find. But within a month or so, she'd cuddle up to me and my sister. Since she was so young when she was taken from her mother (abandoned on someone's doorstep) she used to knead our hair and suck on it. Sadly cute. And wet. XD

=3 I love it when I can visit with my sister too.

If she's a blue-point, that's going to be ironic as hell. *snerk* She's probably going to wind up nicknamed either Princess or Miss Wednesday, living in a house full of One Piece fans as she will. XD

I'm not sure exactly what color her eyes are--my sister's Siamese Kagerou actually has blue-grey eyes, and I've seen Siamese cats with violet eyes too. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll be able to put up pictures--provided Vivi doesn't run away from the camera.

Awww, kitty! I hope you can coax the baby out of her shell after a while.

Yay for sisters! That's so cool that you'll get to see her. It sucks when family is so far away and you don't get to see them often.

I hope so too. Then again, I've never seen a cat who didn't eventually get better when placed in a good environment. ^_^

Yeah, it kind of does. Neither my sister or I are good with talking on the phone, so we don't call each other all that often and when we do it's usually:
"So then."
"Yeah."
"Uhhhh..."
"..."
"Did you have anything else to say?"
"Not really."
"Oh. 'Kay. Bye then."
"Bye."

Awwww! Cute kitty! She sounds like a sweetie, and like she's lucky to have nice owners. =^..^=

I had a cat who would suck and knead on blankets (he sucked a hole in an afghan once). He had the brains of a very small green tomato, but he was somehow cute nonetheless. He won a strange cat name contest, though--his name was Itty-it. XD

Here's a pic of her, actually: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/snarkymonkey/Las%20Vegas%202005/Picture009.jpg And I get to go see her today! XD I'm such a dork.

Itty-it. That has to be the best name for a cat ever. Yay for small-green-tomatoe-brained kitties! =3 Sounds cute indeed.

Awwww! What a beautiful cat! She's lovely (and very imperious-looking *snerk*).

There's nothing wrong with getting excited about seeing your cat--they're like children, but cuter and better behaved. Going from not being able to remember a time when my family didn't have at least one cat to not having one at all for a long period of time left me with horrible kitty-withdrawal, so I definitely understand. Cats are worse than heroin, I swear. XD

My sister and I deserve a smiting for punning his name that badly. It was a sign of things to come. XD

Yay, Kitty love! My cat, Calico, was like that when we first found her. You just have to be really patient with her (and don't make any sudden or loud noises) and just pet her when you can to show her that she has nothing to be afraid of. It took Calico either 2 weeks or a month to trust us (I forgot which it was). Siamese kitties are really pretty.
