Sicko in action.

blodhemn gave me a call because he'd had an accident at work (he slipped on a puddle of oil, fell into some metal shelving, and put a four-inch gash in his forearm) and wanted somebody who was going to be able to drive him home from the hospital after he got stitches because he didn't think he was going to be able to do so. I booked it out of work five minutes early, made it over to the hospital at 5:30, found Will, and sat down with him to wait for the doctors to sew him up. We were optimistic about getting out of there in an hour or two, because 1) the ER didn't look crowded and 2) HE WAS STILL ACTIVELY BLEEDING WTF.
Five hours later, Will finally got his stitches (all fourteen of them) and his tetanus shot. We left the hospital a bit before eleven. Superdouchetastic. D: The good news is that Will's mostly okay now, and since it's an open-and-shut worker's comp case he doesn't have to worry about paying for it.
Tiff and I wound up going over to the old apartment at about midnight and clearing the last of our stuff out. We dropped off the keys afterwards and did a little dance of joy, or would have if we hadn't been fuck-all tired and it hadn't been 1:30am.
Finished HP7 yesterday while at home sick. Vaguely disappointed. Needed moar Neville (then again, everything needs moar Neville--if the last book had been "Neville Longbottom and the Venomous Tentacula," I'd have read that shit in a heartbeat). Epilogue shitty, as I was warned. Rapidly cheered up by Transmetropolitan graphic novels, so it's all good, I suppose.
Maybe writing tonight? Hopefully? *crosses fingers*
