The temperature got up to ninety degrees F in the beautiful city of Baltimore today. I usually like fall because the temperatures are more temperate than summer... *cranks AC*

The good news from the dentist: I still have teeth. The bad news: too many teeth. My wisdom teeth have to come out. D: The dentist did congratulate me on having good genes, but totally killed it by bitching about my job and my coworkers (he saw my employer on my insurance card). Does this happen to all government employees? O_o

Dyeing my hair black today. Wish me luck.

In other news, I own a BJD. I would like to make occasional posts about same. It has been brought to my attention that some people find that these dolls are frightening, creepy, or just plain boring. Therefore, happy filter fun times!

Hair dye is fun! :D

BJDs are frightening and creepy, therefore brilliant.

Black hair dye/linoleum tile is my new OTP, since not even bleach can separate the two. D: I never have this problem with blue or purple or red, only black. >P

I'm going to use mine to frighten the neighborhood children on Halloween. I found a two-foot-long decorative coffin to stick her in too (though she's too tall lol).

Nick was my first, I have had him for a little over two years now (after a harrowing (read: expensive) bout where he broke his shoulder on the trip back from Anime Boston.) I actually just recently purchased another, he has yet to be named (!) because he's still shipping. I know some name them before they even get them but I like to see in person before I name em', I'm weird like that.

Not yet. I'm going to a Halloween-themed doll meetup on the 21st, so hopefully I'll be able to find her something there. If not, I can probably ghetto something up with white and grey gauze. She's got very light-colored makeup and a not particularly scary expression, so I'll probably have to veil her face. XD

I know what you're talking about but what do the letters stand for, ball-jointed doll? (Guess what actually came to mind first, yes I'm eternally twelve years old >.>)

Okay, I'll admit that I DO find them incredibly creepy. However, I am also incredibly nosy and I like scaring myself. Besides, I find the interest in them amusing from an anthropological standpoint.

They do indeed stand for ball-jointed doll. And you have a dirty mind. [/pot calling kettle]

...you know, I went "Hmm, I need to lock all discussion of BJDs under a filter!" JUST FOR YOU. Daft woman. And I suppose the dolls triggering an Uncanny Valley effect in some people and not others is interesting. Well, either Uncanny Valley or the Chucky effect. XD
