You make people wait a full year for your "new, redesigned, improved" dolls and you give them this? WTF, DollShe, WTF. The same guy who designed my Hound turned out this X-Files reject. I AM DEEPLY SHAMED. I also feel the need to hold Lassa and reassure myself that at least he hasn't been abducted by aliens.

In other news, I was in a serious car accident Thursday night. My beloved Hanako is no more, and I'm....dented. And on Percoset. Whee! Nothing permanently broken though, and the nice people at the hospital said I should be fine. Trying to figure out what car to get--I loved my Honda Fit, but can't stand the '09 Fits and used Fits are nigh-impossible to find. D: Currently leaning towards a Scion xD, since it's got most of the things I loved about my car and even if I go and get new one, it's a couple grand cheaper than the '09 Fit.

Good to hear that you'll not suffer any permanent damage. Sorry to hear about the car though.

I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish with that new body. It's completely weird. Great abs but the ribs make it look like they're starving the poor thing. Were they maybe going for the most points of articulation on it? Whatever the case, it's not very pretty.

Although, to be fair, I do like the head sculpt. Am puzzled as to what that giant silver ball in its head is though.

Apparently at least some of it was to make it hard to pirate--DollShe's had their stuff stolen in the past and the sculptor is still smarting over it. As far as the silver ball goes, apparently there's a separate string for each limb. That really does seem like more trouble than it's worth to me, but I'd have to see it in action first. This body's main accomplishment thus far has been making me even happier than I got Lassa when I had the chance instead of waiting for the new body.

So am I. One never wants to find out that one's car earned its 5-star crash test rating the hard way, but I was glad I was able to hobble away from that one.

They're swearing it looks better with a faceup and clothes on, but comparing that versus this (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y98/chibi_trillian/lassacritter1.jpg) is a bit of a shock. I think the real issue is that the sculptor had Dollmore pirate his body for their 70cm boys a few years back, so he stated specifically that he made the joints as irregular as possible to make it obvious if anyone copied him again. He succeeded in doing that, but also destroyed a lot of the aesthetic pleasure in his doll's form.

Holy heck! That's scary news but I'm glad you'll be/are okay. Scions are kinda intriguing. We considered them a little (or at least I did) before we ended up with Brian's Kia. Are you looking at the sedan model or the boxy sport model thing?

The boxy little hatchback. I've always loved the utility and cargo capacity of hatchbacks, and the xD is the only cheap one I've seen that has the same 60-40 folding backseats as my Fit.

And... the abs and ribs look downright bizarre on that doll body. Granted, I have not seen very many naked doll bodies (since I have not been actively in the market XD) but still... it looks inhuman. Deformed, almost. Very odd.
