Enough Moping! Onwards!

chibi_trillianMy last post was somewhat whiny, and, having whined, I feel better now. On to happy things. Tonight, I will hopefully be spending quality time with my friends. This is always a good thing. ^_^
Last weekend, I went to my very first Darkon event. My character name is Thalassa. I'm petitioning for entrance into Caldonia. As a pathetic n00bling, I had no idea how to fight, dodge, or do anything really useful on a battlefield. I've a slightly better idea now (being hit in the leg with a huge black sword hard enough to make one limp gives one much incentive to learn quickly...though Dominick did apologize later, I just took it as "I'm hitting you this hard because people out on the battlefield will hit you this hard.").
My kill count was two. I snuck up behind a spearman and took him out with my little white sword, go me! As a result of that, I'm being encouraged to become a Thief or an Assassin, because apparently I'm sneaky like what. But if I become a sketchy, I won't be able to run at people screaming like a banshee... *sniffle*
Right now, I want to become a Cleric. I would like to use a quarterstaff, but with all the padding you need on one, my hands are too small to use it effectively! I'll get Anu to show my how to make a flail; she's very good at making headlegal ones. I've already got most of a religion worked out. I don't particularly care that Clerics have a hard time killing people. The Cleric character pretty much popped into my head and said, "Hello!" so I think I'll keep her.
I'm going to the big campout on the first weekend of April. Not only is it my first campout, it's Caldonia's fourth anniversary! Hurrah! I've my tankard, all I need now is a tent and a sleeping bag and some foodage and I'll be set. ^_^
