Now now, you can't blame them for all their stupidity. Abstinence-only sex ed probably had something to do with it too. Add to that the fact that I may have been the only woman commenting, and that makes up for at least a bit of the woeful stupidity and lack of knowledge of how basic reproduction works.
They're still dumbasses and a shocking shame to see on a website devoted to scientific news, but it's slightly less brain-hurty if you remind yourself of the outside factors.
Also, if you'd rather not go flipping through my journal looking for my fic, it's all saved in my memories. ^_^
