So then...I finally broke down and got MSN Messenger. I hate to say this after almost nine years of using AIM, but...I think I like it better.

If anyone wants to give me a shout, my MSN username is the stunningly obvious chibi_trillian(at)hotmail(dot)com. [livejournal.com profile] genuinelie, if this thing does not speak blasphemous lies, I ought to be able to use it to talk to you too. ^_^

Dunno if you're interested but you could also DL Trillian (http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/). It does MSN, YIM, AIM, ICQ and mIRC all in one program. It's pretty easy to use and it's about the size of one of the messanger clients yet does all that stuff. It's what I use since I have MSN, YIM and AIM (we shall not speak of the war my compy has with mIRC).

I'm not sure. I've never had cause to use that feature when I dd have the MSN client.

My compy refuses to co-operate and let me use irc. I've tried doing it with several different programs and... nada. I've even had several people more net savy than me talk me through everything and still... no go. Frankly, I've given up on irc.

...I think the universe would implode from sheer WTFH if chibi_trillian used Trillian. XD

It's looking more and more tempting, though, even though the newest version of MSN can talk to YIM users. I've heard it's got issues with randomly idling people--any verification on that?

I can't say as I haven't used the MSN client in close to 2 years. I do know that it shows my Hubby as online when he most definately isn't. And then randomly signs him in and out even when I'm the one using the computer!

ONE OF US, ONE OF US. MSN > AIM ANY DAY OF THE WEEK, AND SEVENTEEN TIMES ON SUNDAYS. I don't use messengers anymore but I am STILL AN MSN FAN. =D

No Laney on MSN? Damn. ;_; I'll just have to be content with making Priscilla wish my fingers would fall off, then. XD

To be honest, I don't like messengers much because talking in real-time makes me feel like I'm onstage at an improv show. XD And so I say really stupid and dull things that are hard to respond to, and the conversation degenerates awkwardly. I WISH BOTH OF YOU GUYS' FINGERS WOULD FALL OFF. *VALIANTLY IGNORES ICON when you're looking*

*GASP* When I got AIM, I thought it was better than MSN and Yahoo.
