I got my hair cut today. I was quite determined to get an edgy cut, something full of win and possibly involving the entire rear half of my head being buzz-cut because I miss having a fuzzy head. The hairdresser did pretty much the exact opposite of what I asked for (hairdressers being incapable of comprehending the words "Leave my bangs alone, they're just the way I like them," and all), but it turned out all right, if a little boring. I look like Cindry-chan with asymmetric bangs, lol.





I also scraped a random ZoSan fic-glob out of my head yesterday. No plot to go with it, I'm not even sure if it's Metal!verse or not, and it needs moar discription. Ultimate failure! Maybe I'll post it later.

I work for the government. I have to be able to fake professionalism on occasion, thus why my hair is not a satisfying shade of blue and why I couldn't go "SHAVE IT ALL" like I wanted to. Crap, I wish I could find a lab job that would pay me roughly what I'm making now. I'd love to be able to do whatever I want to my hair again. D:

I'd love to suggest OH HAY GRAD SCHOOL, but we all know how well that's worked out.

I'd think that, with your experience, you could find a good lab job! I sympathize with the gov't job--one of the reasons I'm still able to dye my hair is that I'm in a comfy lab position. Don't disparage your abilities, you're probably more qualified for most lab/biotech jobs than I am!

You'll probably hate me saying this but the haircut looks cute. It may not be what you told the hairdresser (I'm convinced they only understand some weird Opposite!talk), but it looks nice on you.

Thank you. After minor beatings, I did have to admit that it was vaguely cute, even if cute wasn't what I was aiming for. It turned into a fluffball today, largely because I don't own a blowdrier and that's what the hairdresser used to smooth it. I'll probably like it more once it gets a little longer. I really did want a haircut where my bangs were dramatically longer than the rest of my hair, though. D:
