Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] 2metaldog, and posted mostly to assure people that I did not, in fact, die of my illness (though it seems to be summoning up a second wave of attack after being soundly defeated last week by oranges and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Oi. >.O).

♥ People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs & replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.

Tag 8 people to do this quiz & those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by & cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people. Screw that. Do it if you want to.

o1◢ How has LJ changed your life?
I've met a lot of people through LJ I would not have met otherwise. It's almost better to ask how fandom has changed my life, as almost all the friends I've made have been fandom friends, and the people in the OP fandom all seem to be marvelous charming non-wanky souls. Also, Maryland seems to have a fairly high population of One Piece fans, so I get to hang with these wonderful people IRL. XD

o2◢ What do you do before bedtime?
I have a lengthy bedtime ritual that involves reading to get myself wound down and taking a long shower. It takes me about an hour from when I say, "I'm going to bed. Night, Tiff," to me actually lying down and going to sleep.

o3◢ What are you going to have for dinner tonight?
Something I already have at home--I'm too broke to go out.

o4◢ What is the ONE place you want to go before you die if you had the money and the time? And let's keep it to somewhere on the Earth for now, shall we?
I can only pick one? And it has to be on Earth? ;_; I'm horribly divided between Las Vegas and Japan. Vegas likely wins on account of me being able to go there and not feel like a stupid foreigner who doesn't know the language.

o5◢ Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Pretty introverted, though I'm working on being more assertive.

o6◢ What do you do in your free time?
Surf the interwebs and read, mostly. And sometimes watch terrible movies.

o7◢ Do you trust easily?
Usually. You're a decent person until proven douchebaggy, I guess.

o8◢ What personal belonging do you have with you everywhere you go?
My purse, which contains:
~my cell phone
~my mp3 player
~my digital camera
~my car keys
~my house keys
~pain pills
~a deck of (One Piece) cards
~occasionally my DS
~possibly a small colony of purse-gnomes

o9◢ Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
My dissatisfaction, boredom, and frustration with my job. Rawr. I'm just kind of burnt out, I guess, though my job does not actually suck that much and at least I still have one.

1o◢ What is your best quality?
Uh, my willingness to be a co-conspirator? Really, I have lots of okay qualities but no really awesome ones.

11◢ Is being tagged fun?
Not usually, no. I think tagging is a sign of an insecure meme creator--if your meme is truly worthy of survival, people should do it because it looks fun, not because they're obliged to.

12◢ How do you see yourself?
In the mirror. *rimshot* No really, I see myself as a person-shaped thing who is bad at many things, okay at others, and really smashing at a few useless things, like getting eyes into other people's BJDs. I don't really have many outstanding qualities, which means people usually go "Uh..." when we're playing "What animal/plant/mineral/fictional character/X-Man/JLU member do I remind you of?" I guess I'll just go with what's on my contact cards: Lawful Good Human Writer.

13◢ Do you prefer rain or snow?
Rain. You don't have to shovel rain.

14◢ What book are you reading right now?
When True Night Falls by C.S. Freidman. Yes, I've been tempted into reading the Coldfire trilogy.

15◢ Would you rather be single & rich or married but poor?
Depends, do I get to keep dating if I'm single and rich? Because if so, single and rich all the way.

16◢ How many children do you want to have, if any?
None. It costs ~$236,000 to raise a child from birth to adulthood. I could retire or buy a house for that shit. Also, I really dislike small children. Anything that can't have an intelligent conversation with me that is not an animal is likely to get on my nerves.

17◢ What's better to give or to receive?
Giving, actually. You get a marvelous warm squoodly feeling in your heart when you give somebody something awesome. Receiving is nice (who doesn't like presents?) but dude, warm squoodly feeling.

18◢ If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick?
Uh, the nerdy guy? Seriously, not likely to happen.

19◢ Would you have 100% safe sex with a stranger for $10,000,000?
On the one hand, that's prostitution and could get me arrested. On the other hand, wow, that's prostitution and could get me arrested AND it's pretty skanky. On the third hand, that's ten million dollars. Can't I just give the guy my kidney instead?

2o◢ What were your parents going to name you if you'd been born the opposite gender?
No idea. Probably Christopher or some such, since something like one out of every four guys my age was named Christopher in high school.

Purse gnomes! They steal stuff don't they? And shred the kleenex you carry so it's unusable. And force the pennies to reproduce like roaches. *nods*

Lawful Good Human Writer.
You are so made of win.

Mine like shredding the bits of paper that wind up in my purse. And hiding my chapstick so thoroughly that I have to completely empty my purse before I can find it again. Little bastards.

Lucky you. *_* I've wanted to go there forever, mostly because of Star Trek: The Experience.

Um, I feel like I'm appearing slightly out of nowhere in lurker-ish manner =_=;
Just wanted to point that out.

Also, if I may ask a few further questions?
If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick?
Uh, the nerdy guy?

Have you ever seen the film Pretty In Pink, and if so, is this kinda the problem with the ending of it? I mean, she ditched the nerdy (I think?) guy. That kinda made me dislike said film. :P

Hm, is the replacing questions thing optional? >3>

I haven't seen Pretty in Pink (I fail at movie, lol) but I always go for the nerdy dude. I don't think I could date someone who can't beat me at Magic: the Gathering wasn't at least as big a nerd as I am. I'd feel weird and dorky and it wouldn't be good.

I think it's optional. It only says to replace questions you dislike, and the only one I swapped out was the one about what I thought of the person who tagged me--since I wasn't tagged for this, it didn't apply. I replaced it with the one about books, lol.

Yup, I see your point. Definitely.
My dream date would be someone who was nerdier than me but wouldn't mind my noobness in many...um, things. So they could teach me stuff. ;P

That's great. ^__^

I'm nowhere near as sick as I was last Tuesday. I just have a nagging cough that seems to have set up camp in my throat sometime last night. It's probably the last gasp of a dying illness before my immune system trounces it utterly. >D

That's because Maryland is apparently the land of Pirates. Or at the least that's what the souvenir shops down in Annapolis think.

THE HUMAN PART, OBVIOUSLY. Curse you, Laney, you've revealed my true identity as a TROLL! And I had all my friends convinced the tusks were just a fashion accessory, too.
