Mostly prepared. I do evaluate my clothing and accessories based on "zombie apocalypse" appropriateness, and I have an outfit picked out for durability, non-snagging, and my ability to run in it. My glasses are NOT currently zombie-ready--they have an anti-glare coating (that's good!) that requires that they be washed with soap, water, and a pristine lint-free paper towel to actually be clean (that's bad!). I have a survival kit for my cat, and I need to build a survival kit for me (top priorities: a first-aid kit and two five-gallon gas cans).

Main problem, zombiewise? I do not own nor do I know how to fire a shotgun, and I have yet to acquire a mighty pole-saw. I may be better off decapitating them with a fixed blade of some kind or (most likely) staying out of immediate zombie proximity in the first place.

I use my friend [livejournal.com profile] gamer_of_chaos as a measuring stick of my zombie preparedness--he has a full survival kit and at least two weapons on him at all times. His van is an anti-zombie fortress. When the zombie apocalypse (or any apocalypse) comes, I totally want to be travelling with him.

I've got plans for this and figure I'd make out fairly well. Being Canadian, I'm a little screwed on the gun issue, but I'm sure I can make do with the good old stand-by baseball bat/tire iron. Getting to the armoury will be a little tricksy, but not impossible (and since we're talking Canada here, all the keys for the APC's/tanks/jeeps are neatly labelled and stored in a central cabinet and the vehicles always topped up with gas. Yes, I've checked!).

There's a gun shop downt he street from the only friend I've plan zombie apocalypse with. I figured I'll wing it on the "never sot a gun before" thing.

Our plan is a little less "survival" and a bit more "going with style". We'll need a van, cigarettes, Pot Noodles and plenty of forks (for stabbing and general eating).

As for the clothes, I'd never thought of that. Though, it depends whether it's summer or winter. And, if it was Winter, it get darker earlier, so you'd need torches and/or fire.

I'm going to have to keep a can of gas in teh garage though, just in case, and find some serious amounts of gauze - because you're gonna need it. Apart from that, I'm prepared.

Don't forget to save your local librarian! We may be next-to-useless in the actual combat, but we'll be vital in surviving the long reconstruction of civilization afterwards. :points to the nearly-complete set of The "Everything" Guide To _____ and ____ For Dummies books that came in:
