Day 5:

Yet more roleplaying squee. My normal Wednesday d20 Modern game was last night and it was A++++ awesome as per usual. Best news of the night: We got our skeevy bastard back (for as long as his player's work schedule allows anyway)! Life has been less treacherous and dishonest without John around. Between Oliver and Sarah, we were in serious danger of making progress on the straight and narrow path to Lawful Good, and that would never do. Also, Oliver did an entertaining ballet-lift-glomp thing when he saw John because he was so happy and 18 STR + glee = people high up in the air. And then we beat the world's nerdiest chronomancer and made some progress on our main quest, so it was a productive evening. Unfortunately, we left off on a cliffhanger (well, post-cliffhanger, since we already fell off the cliff) and there's no game next week. ;_;

Also, I got a cookie. >:3

That sounds like a lot of fun. And yay, cookie! I did, however, spend way too much time trying to think of what five-letter-word starting with an A you'd censor before I realized what it was actually supposed to be. *sheepish*

That sounds awesome! And 18 STR is impressive, how did you roll your stats in that game?

We were lazy and just rolled d20s, but stuck to the maximum possible for the standard 4d6-drop-the-lowest stat rolls (though our GM was generous and told us not to bother keeping anything under 8). Oliver's our holy knight, so it's kind of his job to hit things really hard. XD He and Dimitri (whose job is also to hit things really hard except he actually gets paid for it) can usually break anything they run into short of a minor deity.

It also helps that our characters are all Level 11 or 12 (this game's been running for a long, long time), so most of them have had the opportunity to boost their stats a few times.

Lol, in our last game we had a guy who rolled an 18 on the standard 4d6 minus lowest method and put it into strength. He was our barbarian, and it got to the point at about level 6 where he'd arbitrarily roll a d12 plus lots. XD We won a lot of battles thanks to him, even if and the cleric (me) had to spend the whole game running around healing him every other turn.

Also, that was in reply to your comment, I seem to have forgotten how livejournal works. *facepalm*

We win most of our battles due to Ollie now, actually. Through the magic of teamwork and excessive buffing, we've managed to boost him up to a +42 attack bonus in the past. The GM was very O_o but she allowed it. XD
