I just got to see Airships performed live. I can die happy now.

I'm still waiting for Tempest.

Someday.

(I knew you'd have a good time!)

Yes. You were very, very, very right, and I worship you for it. Much love.

Incidentally, thanks to the joys of VNV Nation-loving friends and bootleggery, I have a recording of Tempest being performed live in San Francisco on my computer. So it has been done before, and may theoretically be done again. Hold out hope.

You know the worst part about that? We actually drove up to San Francisco the night that was recorded (back in 2002, I believe) to try and see them live at the DNA Lounge, and found out that it was sold out before we got to the door. Ever since then, we've made certain to pre-order tickets well in advance of the show.

I can't complain, though. I'm going to see them again at M'era Luna this summer in Germany. ^_^

(Did they play Frika by any chance?)

Nopers. Nor did they play Carbon, which I was really hoping to hear live. But they played Arena, Epicentre, and Homeward, and did a very nice improv in the middle of Honour. I actually saw someone burst into tears during Beloved. Airships was their third encore, and it made me squee because that was my "if I hear this song and/or Carbon, I can die a happy woman" song. T'was a very good show. ^_^

(I do hope they put out that Homeward single. I shall hunt it down wherever it lurks.)

I saw Carbon live once, during their Futureperfect tour. Haven't seen it since, though they did play Holding On one of the nights in San Francisco this time. I was wondering about Frika because they played it the second night here, and I wasn't sure if you'd gotten to hear anything live from Advance and Follow.

I admit, I burst into tears when they play Further. That song always triggers the waterworks for me.

And that Homeward single *will* be mine. <~~ is so pathetic she even owns the vinyl single of Beloved
