New books! New books! I have new books!
I got reminded today why I don't listen to Everclear when I have important things to do, like work.
Speaking of work, the Geeky British Boss and I finally managed to show other people that there was a serious problem with one of the components that I had been working with. I've handled about 500 more of these stupid things than the rest of the R&D department combined, so you'd think they'd believe me. Apparently, nobody paused long enough to think that colorants, while pretty, affect plastic elasticity, firmness, and tensile strength. When put into a new component that relies heavily on all three of these things, they make a big old difference. To quote the coworker in charge of consumer testing, "This is...concerning." Now that the GBB and I have convinced everyone that I'm not crazy, the company that makes said spiff new component refuses to admit that there's a problem. Yey.
The GBB leveled himself up Friday by building a functional applicator out of the Legos he expensed and showing that it worked better than the $1000+ thing we'd been using. I stand in awe of his geekdom. Today, he had built a new, better, lighter version...still out of Legos.
And this is just silly.

![]() | You scored as Hoban 'Wash' Washburne. The Pilot. You are a leaf on the wind, see how you soar. You have a good job, and a stunning wife who loves you (and can kill people). Life is good, which is why you can't help smiling. Now if you can just get people to actually listen to your opinion things would be perfect.
