I'll admit, when I watched the scene where Gold Roger's executed, my mind kept substituting Luffy. There was just too many similarities that I don't even know I could name. The grin, the hair, something about the way they hold themselves and their reactions to similar situations.
I've also noticed that out of all the Strawhats, Nami and Sanji are the only ones who didn't take out someone while being rescued from the villian that made them a permanant crewmember. Robin's still a possible exception to this, of course, but then I can point out that Sanji and Nami are the people Luffy carries to the top of a mountain and it makes me wonder...
