6:00pm: There are few things like starting to tackle the big closet and discovering, tucked in among all the boxes left over from when we moved in here four years ago, a bag full of half a dozen things that you'd been looking for for a year and a half (when your ex-boyfriend did you the "favor" of cleaning your apartment and therefore left you utterly incapable of finding anything on your own). Eh, water under the bridge. For now, I'm just happy I have my copy of Spock's World and my Watari bookmark back. And my old dice pouch. And my safety goggles. And my Windows XP disks. And some of my manga. And some of my music. And just about everything I've torn the apartment apart looking for in the past year. *twitch*

7:00pm: I DESERVE TO BE SHOT FOR BEING THIS MUCH OF A PACK RAT. Seriously, I just found class notes from my freshman year. OF HIGH SCHOOL. Ohhhhhh snaps, I should not be looking at worksheets dated 1998 and remembering how embarrassed I was with my handwriting back then because it was so childish-looking. And old folders and binders--shit, I don't think I've ever thrown anything academia-related out in my life. I'm going to steel myself and do it this time. I'm going to ignore the little voices wailing "But what if I NEED that at some point in the future?" I'll do it, I swear.

7:20pm: Would anyone like/care to claim a pair of mysterious black leather pants from our closet? Men's, 29" waist, 29" inseam (Yours, maybe, David? Though they look a little long for you...), soft leather, lined to knee.

9:00pm: Why do I have so many three-ring binders? And why were they stored in a wooden box with a slatted bottom, from which they fall out and land upon my tender toes?

9:45pm: Lucky for the slatted bottom! Hidden in the corner of the box was my mother's old dissecting kit from back when she was in college. She must have put in there when I moved out of her house. If I'd have taken the box out and upended it over the dumpster as I was planning on doing, I'd have lost it. The scapel blade is a little dull, but the rest of the kit is clean and in good condition. *pets it* ^_^

Hee! Oh, packing. It's such a joy indeed. XD I think it's most enjoyable simply for the random things you find. *grins*

It certainly is. I start packing up my room tomorrow--I'm moving over there to hold the fort while Tiff stays here. Saturday will be fun, what with the coughing up of mad moneys and the assembly of furniture.

Wow, you had a closet to a whole other world waiting for you to return to. I can't get myself to dissect anything *cutting a worm last year was a pain, not cause it was a worm, but because the skin was so fragil and you had to be careful of not pressing down too hard).
